How to activate your card

To save time, you can activate your Great Southern Bank Visa Debit card or eftpos Debit Card in Online Banking or Mobile Banking

It’s easy – simply log into Online Banking or download the Mobile Banking app from the Apple or Google Play store. Select ‘My Cards’ and enter the requested information. You'll be sent a one-time password and as soon as this is entered, your card will be ready to use. You can also change your card's PIN in the 'My Cards' menu.

Remember, you only need to activate your card if it’s your first debit card with Great Southern Bank or a replacement of a card that’s been lost, stolen or damaged. If it’s a replacement for an existing card about to reach its expiry date, then you don’t need to activate it and your current personal identification number (PIN) is still valid.

For your credit card, simply log into Online Banking, select the ‘My Cards’ and enter the requested information. You’ll be sent a one-time password. As soon as this is entered, your card is ready to use.  You can also change your card’s PIN in the ‘My Cards’ menu.

For any new, replaced or expiring credit card, these will need to be activated prior to use on each occasion.
