Support for customers impacted by recent weather events

Great Southern Bank is here to help customers who have been impacted by recent weather events, including storms in South East Queensland and flooding in Far North Queensland following Tropical Cyclone Jasper.

Customers in need of breathing space to get back on their feet can apply for financial assistance via our online portal.

Customers can also contact our Customer Assistance team to discuss how we can help, by phoning 1800 110 440 and choosing option 2.

Impacted customers may qualify for assistance including:

  • An opportunity to pause repayments on home loans, personal loans or credit cards, on a case-by-case basis;
  • Late fees waived on home and personal loan repayments;
  • No fees for a replacement credit card.

If you have been affected by the severe weather and need to lodge a claim, the Allianz claims team is ready to help. If you have experienced damage it is a good idea to lodge a claim as soon as possible.
