When you’ve received your Visa Debit card, you will need to activate it straight away. Don’t worry, this bit’s easy! Check out our step-by-step guide to the process in online banking or mobile banking. If you’re having trouble activating your card online, you can do it over the phone by calling 133 282 or by visiting your nearest branch.
Once your new card is activated, you will need to:
- Change the PIN (if required). You can do this via online banking, our mobile app, or in-branch.

Yes, a Visa Debit Card is your passport to global shopping. As one of the most widely-accepted cards around the world, you’ll have access to millions of physical and online retailers in Australia and beyond.
Your card number is printed on the reverse of your Visa Debit card, along with its expiry date and CVV number.
A PIN will be sent to you in a separate letter. If you don't want to wait for it arrive, or you want to change it when it does, you can reset it via online or mobile banking or in-branch.
It may take up to seven business days for your card to arrive in the post. If you haven't received it after seven business days, please call us on 133 282.
