New Loan Market partnership to bring more brokers, customers to Great Southern Bank

12 May 2022

Great Southern Bank is aiming to help even more Australians to own their own home, thanks to a new partnership with leading broker aggregator Loan Market. Great Southern Bank will join Loan Market’s lender panel and gain access to its network of 760 brokers.

Australia’s largest customer-owned bank has significantly increased its support for the home lending market in recent years, doubling its lending for first home buyers at its half year results and aiming to double its broker network by the end of the year.

“We’ve been impressed by Great Southern Bank’s engagement with brokers and how it’s created solutions for various segments of the market,” said Loan Market Managing Director Andrea McNaughton.

“They’ve established a strong rapport with younger clients, as seen by the rising volume of first home buyer loans they’ve settled.

“Importantly, Great Southern Bank has halved its home loan approval times over the last 12 months while doubling the number of loans it processed.”

Great Southern Bank’s Head of Broker and Insurance Partnerships, Mat Patterson, welcomed the news, saying the new partnership would continue to support the growth of both businesses.

"Loan Market is one of the largest, fastest-growing and most respected mortgage broker businesses in Australia. To be invited to join their panel is a significant step for Great Southern Bank as we grow our business and seek to help more Australians into their homes.”
