Drafts
Send a bank draft in the post to make overseas payments.
Drafts
A draft is like a bank cheque made out in a foreign currency. It's another way to make payments and settle a transaction overseas, especially if you don't have the receiver's electronic bank account details.
Why should I use a draft?
- Can be sent in the post – a draft can be enclosed with letters or invoices and forwarded direct to the beneficiary.
- Secure – drafts are non-negotiable and can only be credited to the beneficiary's bank account (unless the beneficiary has endorsed).
- Can be stopped in certain circumstances if missing in transit - a stop can normally be issued of the draft and a replacement issued.
- Wide range of currencies offered
