Update on CUA’s agreement with Healthscope private hospitals

CUA Health is pleased to confirm that we've reached an in-principle agreement with the Healthscope Group of private hospitals, which we feel represents good value for our health insurance members.

Our focus is now on finalising the agreement to ensure our members can continue to access Healthscope’s 42 hospitals around Australia without paying additional out-of-pocket hospital charges for services included on their cover.

Some CUA Health members will have recently received a communication regarding Healthscope’s earlier decision to end its agreement with us. Since communicating this, we’ve continued to negotiate with Healthscope and we’re pleased that we have now reached this in-principle agreement.

CUA Health’s absolute priority has been to secure an agreement to help our members manage their out-of-pocket expenses. We have also aimed to balance this with fair pricing, with a focus on the long-term interests of all CUA Health members.

We will be contacting CUA Health members in the coming weeks once the new contract is finalised.

CUA Health members do not need to do anything. However, if you have any questions, you can email us at cuahealth@cua.com.au or talk to our team on 1300 499 260 between 8am and 5pm AEST Monday to Friday.
